• Port Arthur ISD will be closed through the rest of the week and will reopen Monday.
• Nederland ISD will be closed Thursday and monitoring for Friday.
• Port Neches-Groves ISD will be closed through the rest of the week and will reopen Monday.
• Sabine Pass School ISD will be closed Thursday.
• Bob Hope Schools will be closed Thursday.
• Tekoa Academy (Port Arthur and Orange) will be closed through the rest of the week and will reopen Monday.
• Catholic schools of the Diocese of Beaumont will be closed Thursday. These schools are Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School, St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica School, St. Anne School in Beaumont; St. Catherine of Siena School in Port Arthur; and St. Mary School in Orange.
• Lamar State College Port Arthur will be closed Thursday.
• Lamar University will be closed Thursday.
• Lamar Institute of Technology will be closed Thursday.
• Lamar State College Orange will be closed Thursday.

 

Cities, county, other

• Port Arthur City Hall/facilities will open Thursday.
• Port Arthur’s landfill will remain closed Thursday and reopen Friday weather permitting.
• Due to the landfill closure, residential and commercial garbage collections will be suspended through Thursday. Weather and road conditions permitting, the collections will begin Friday (Monday’s route).
• Port Arthur Transit services will be available Thursday on a delayed schedule. Call 409-983-8767 to verify route times.
• Jefferson County offices will reopen Thursday.
• Groves Senior Center will be closed Thursday and reopen Friday.
