A man stabbed Monday night at a Port Arthur apartment complex has filed charges against the alleged assailant, Port Arthur Police announced Tuesday.
Port Arthur Police Department officers were called at approximately 11:30 p.m. to Prince Hall Apartments in the 1000 block of West 14th Street, where they found the victim outside with a stab wound to the lower portion of his body.
The victim was brought to the Medical Center of Southeast Texas for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Port Arthur Police Chief Tim Duriso said the victim is approximately 37 years old and a resident of the apartment complex.
Officers know the identity of the female who reportedly stabbed the man but she had not been arrested as of Tuesday afternoon.
Duriso said the woman lives at the complex and is neighbors with the victim.
Duriso said he expects an arrest to be made as the victim filed charges in the case.
