A LaMarque man is dead following a drowning at a Sabine Pass industrial site.
Justice of the Peace Brad Burnett identified the deceased as Victor Perez Sr., 46.
Perez was working in the 8000 block of South 1st Avenue in Sabine Pass when he fell from a vessel into the water. The Coast Guard was able to get the man from the water and he was transported to The Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
Port Arthur Police Chief Tim Dusiro said life saving measures were unsuccessful.
The incident occurred at 6:37 p.m. Sunday.
